Meet the Team

Dale Baker

CEO

After 43 years the boss admits he doesn’t have many responsibilities other than to keep his daughter Tricia on task. He and his wife Pat founded Marathon Lumber in 1977 and although he enjoys hunting, reading and traveling, Dale can be found around the lumberyard on most days. “We’ve accomplished way more than I could’ve ever imagined,” Dale says. “But my pride is measured through our employees who are like family.”

Patricia “Pat” Baker

CFO

Since founding the company with her husband in 1977 Pat has overseen the books, purchasing and budgeting, but her most valuable function may have been to serve as a rational sounding board for her company decisions. Her hobbies include traveling, hiking and photographing flowers and butterflies. Pat’s most recent home project was the installation of a butterfly garden.

Tricia Baker

Vice President and Chief Agitator
Shortly after Tricia completing her formal cosmetology education, she picked up a temporary shift at Marathon Lumber. After 27 years on the job, she’s been fired on at least a dozen occasion for various acts of insubordination. Managing the sales, purchasing and inventory of the yard, she appears poised to move past the probationary stage and into a tenured position within the company.
Zaida Morales Chavez
Bookkeeping, Inventory Control
At Marathon Lumber we proudly “hablan español” and Zaida works with our Spanish- speaking clients to ensure not a single nail is lost in translation between ordering and fulfillment. She and her husband Raul, who also works at Marathon Lumber, have two young children, and a puppy dog.
Ileane De los Reyes
Inside sales, customer service, Ordering

Having joined the Marathon Lumber family in 2019, Ileane quickly developed into a masterful customer service representative who appreciates the family atmosphere of her co-workers at Marathon Lumber. In her spare time she enjoys working out and spending time with her husband and one child.

Nelson Delgado
Sales, Delivery, Truck Driver
As the longest tenured employee at Marathon Lumber, Nelson performs a number of tasks including sales, receiving and customer service. He is also the trusted bi- lingual delivery manager who brings the lumberyard to the job site. Nelson has two children and his most recent DYI project was the construction of a yard shed.
Raul Llanes
Maintenance, Distribution
A clean, well organized lumber yard is Raul’s passion – some would say obsession, and his attention to detail is apparent in the quality of lumber received and delivered through Marathon Lumber. Raul has nearly a decade of experience and enjoys working with his wife Zaida and utilizing his bi-lingual skillset to assist customers.
Cindy
Long Lost Employee!

HAS ANYONE SEEN CINDY?!!
